| Description | The Flemish Agency for Sea and Shore Services (MDK) paid EUR 7.1 million less and 7.1 million more invoices on 43 public works contracts. As a whole, these invoices represent 39.9% of the total amount of the awarded works contracts. They indicate extensive changes of the works during performance, esp. in 2010 (53.4%). Huge invoices often result from careless preparation of the calls for tenders. Moreover, late processing of some invoices led to considerable penalties on arrears. |
