| Beschreibung | Most of the services in the field of professional theater and music are funded by the State. The Ministry of Culture has 14 state-owned enterprises - seven State-founded theaters, five concert organisations, Riga Circus, Latvian National Opera and Ballet, that are the main service providers in the field of professional theater and music. The Ministry of Culture grants 23 million euro annually in the form of the State budget funds to ensure the activity of theaters, concert organisations, etc. Due to this reason the Ministry of Culture has a vital role in its state-owned enterprises. The main aim of the audit was to assess whether the Ministry of Culture, being the owner of the state-owned enterprises, pursue the good governance principles of its state-owned enterprises that are also binding to Latvia since its accession to the OECD. |
