1st Meeting of the Project Group on "Drafting General Procedures” and EUROSAI Coordination Team Meeting in Antalya, Turkey

The Turkish Court of Accounts (TCA), as the holder of the EUROSAI Presidency, hosted the 1st Meeting of the Project Group on "Drafting General Procedures and Other Related Documents in Accordance with the New Governance Framework" and following this, EUROSAI Coordination Team Meeting in Antalya between 27-29 September 2017.
The meetings were attended by 16 participants from the SAIs of Spain (Secretary General), Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Portugal and Turkey while the representatives of the SAI of Germany attended to the related part of the meetings via videoconference.
During the Project Group meeting (held on 27 - 28 September/morning session), which was also visited by Mr. Seyit Ahmet Baş, President of the TCA, participants had discussions on the outline and draft text of the “General Procedures for new EUROSAI Governance Framework”. The parts of the General Procedures were shared among the related SAIs and drafted in advance of the meeting so that the meeting provided a unique opportunity to consolidate the drafted parts regarding the discussions and comments in Antalya.
Following this, the Coordination Team meeting was held on 28 September (afternoon session) and 29 September 2017, focusing mainly on the preparation of the first draft of the Operational Plan (OP). To this end, participants had fruitful discussions on the template of portfolio proposal for the OP, on the issues of the consolidation process of the parts of the OP as well as on the issues regarding the role of the Coordination Team and mechanisms to enable it to perform these roles in the best manner. The meeting was closed after the planning of the date and venue of the next GB meeting and also next Coordination Team meetings.
