| оПисания | The National Audit Office of Lithuania for the first time have carried out an assessment of the health care system in which it gave an overview of audits conducted during the nine-year period and have identified the main areas of concern that should receive particular attention. The purpose of the assessment of the health care system was to provide the auditors‘ insights in achieving higher impact of audit recommendations, to urge the interested parties to undertake more active actions, and to address the most urgent challenges. According to the auditors, possibilities to improve the quality of health care services are not fully used. Accessibility of services of specialist doctors is not ensured, analysis of undesirable events is not carried out, larger part of expensive equipment is not used to the full extent, payment for services is not related to the treatment results. |
