Invitation to EUROSAI-ECIIA webinar on cooperation with external auditors – 16 March 2023

The State Audit Office of Latvia, as the EUROSAI Governing Board Member and holder of the portfolio on relations with non-SAI stakeholders, is continuing cooperation with the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) with the aim to promote common roles and improve the communication between internal and external auditors on the EUROSAI level.
Last year we conducted a survey among EUROSAI members on SAIs’ cooperation with internal auditors. Simultaneously, ECIIA conducted a questionnaire among its members on cooperation with external auditors.
In total, we received replies from 29 SAIs – Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, European Court of Auditors, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, the Netherlands, Ukraine, United Kingdom.
ECIIA received replies from 25 respondents from various levels of organisations (Agency, Ministry, Public Enterprises) – Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, Spain, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, United Kingdom and the Internal Audit Service of the European Commission.
We would like to thank all participants for taking the time to complete the questionnaire and share their experiences.
In this regard, to provide the first results of the survey of SAI and internal auditor cooperation and communication practices, the State Audit Office of Latvia together with ECIIA would like to invite you to an on-line webinar (Microsoft Teams platform) that will take place on 16 March 2023, 15:00-16:00 (CET).
