Background: The EUROSAI IT Working Group (ITWG) was created at the 5^th EUROSAI Congress held in Moscow in 2002.

Membership: The Group is chaired by the SAI of Estonia, which took over from the SAI of Poland in June 2020 and is composed of more than 30 members.

Mission and aims: The EUROSAI ITWG aims to further the institutional sharing of expertise and experiences between the SAIs of the European region and encourage the implementation of joint activities in the field of Information Technology. The Working Group tries to complement the initiatives of the INTOSAI IT Audit Standing Committee and to encourage the mutual sharing of experiences between the two organisations.

Background: The EUROSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (EUROSAI WGEA) was formally established by a resolution of the 4^th EUROSAI Congress held in Paris, in 1999.

Membership: The Group is chaired by the SAI of Poland, which took over from the SAI of Estonia in June 2020 and is composed of more than 40 members.

Mission and aims: The EUROSAI WGEA has adopted the vision of INTOSAI WGEA. EUROSAI WGEA and its members share a commitment to use the power of public sector audits to leave a positive legacy for future generations by improving the management of natural resources and the environment, and the health and prosperity of the people of Europe. Through its activities, the EUROSAI WGEA aims to promote a spirit of cooperation based on integrity, open communication and professional excellence. This is achieved by pursuing the main strategic goals:

1. Encourage and support professional cooperation

2. Facilitate knowledge and experience sharing

Background: The EUROSAI Working Group on the Audit of Funds Allocated to Disasters and Catastrophes was established at the IX EUROSAI Congress in June 2014. However, its origin can be found in the former EUROSAI WGEA Special Subgroup on the Audit of Natural, Man-caused Disasters Consequences and Radioactive Wastes Elimination, that had acted since November 2006, which had been transformed into a Task Force on the Audit of Funds Allocated to Disasters and Catastrophes, in June, 2008 during the VII EUROSAI Congress. Later on, during the IX EUROSAI Congress held in June 2014, this Task Force was transformed into a Working Group.

Membership: The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine is the Chair of the EUROSAI Working Group, with its Secretariat located in Kiev, and it is composed by, approximately, 20 members.

Mission and aims: The EUROSAI WG´s mission is to coordinate and consolidate efforts of the European SAIs to help their governments in development of effective and efficient tools for prevention and consequences elimination of disasters and catastrophes.

Background: The EUROSAI Task Force on Audit and Ethics (TFA&E) was set up in 2011 at XXXVIII Governing Board meeting. Following the final conclusions and recommendations of the VIII EUROSAI Congress that was held in Lisbon in June 2011, concerning the theme Challenges, demands and responsibilities of public managers and the role of Supreme Audit Institutions, the Governing Board agreed to set up a Task Force to deal with Audit & Ethics, aiming to promote ethical conduct and integrity, both in SAIs and in public organisations.

Membership: The TFA&E is chaired by the SAI of Portugal and it is composed by, approximately, 30 members.

Mission and aims: Ethics arises as an important aspect in the present, especially in a widespread context of financial and economic crises. It is generally agreed that the roots of the problem lie on failures of regulation and also on values breakdowns. The Task Force aims to reinforce, frame and provide robustness to the management of ethical conduct, with practical and feasible tools meant to help the Supreme Audit Institutions in their everyday work. So, it was considered that the issue should be addressed and consolidated.

Its activities are based on working plans targeted at two main goals:

1. Promote ethics as a pillar of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs).
2. Promote ethical conduct in public organisations through the SAIs’ audit activities.

In both these areas, the TFA&E has so far made comparative analysis on how SAIs are dealing with ethics, has issued papers listing and studying those practices, has conducted seminars and workshops, has been actively involved in the review of ISSAI 30 and is preparing guidance for SAIs.

Background: The EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit (EUROSAI TFMA) was set up in the 44th EUROSAI Governing Board meeting in Luxembourg in June 2016.

Membership: The EUROSAI TFMA is chaired by the National Audit Office of Lithuania, with the Secretariat located in Vilnius, and it´s composed of 27 members.

Mission and aims: The EUROSAI TFMA mission is to create an open platform for sharing the best practice and experience on the municipality audit.

The EUROSAI TFMA activities are orientated to EUROSAI strategic goal on professional cooperation and based on 3 EUROSAI TFMA strategic goals:

1. Exchanging the best practice and experience to reach audit results that have a substantial impact on improving public financial management
2. Making the external municipal auditing system more efficient
3. Encouraging cooperative audits
