Welcome Words of the
EUROSAI Secretary General
In my capacity as Secretary General of
the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), I am very
pleased to welcome you to this website.
More than fifteen years since the
creation of the Organisation in Madrid in 1990, I would like to highlight the
impeller role that it is developing. EUROSAI, set up with 30 Members and
counting currently with 48, has dedicated important efforts in promoting
co-operation and stressing how important it is advancing in it, in the scope of
its Member SAIs and also in relation to other INTOSAI Regional Groups as well as
to other Entities with similar objectives and common goals.
Co-operation becomes effective in great
measure through training, understood in its wider sense; aspect in which EUROSAI
is carrying out an special technical and financial effort and where the Training
Committee, under the mandate of the EUROSAI Governing Board, develops an intense
activity.
In this website, you will find
information on the EUROSAI structure, bodies and activities developed and
programmed. There are also links to the corresponding EUROSAI Working Groups
websites, to the Member SAIs websites, and to those of the wider INTOSAI family.
This website provides access to the
EUROSAI Magazines and Newsletters; publications for furthering the exchange of
experience, knowledge and information; for disseminating and updating
information on the diverse audit areas; and for promoting the study of technical
aspects and developing cooperation among SAIs.
I hope that our website fulfils its
objective of providing relevant and updated information on EUROSAI and that it
works as an effective channel for communication and cooperation.
The Office of the EUROSAI Secretariat
would be delighted to receive any comments or queries you may have. All your
suggestions will be welcomed as we believe that our common objective will only
be achieved with the support and contributions of all those who play a part in
EUROSAI.

President of the Spanish Court of Audit,
