Training

The purpose of this site is to provide information about training activities in the member countries. The information covers external and internal training provided by member SAIs, such as training programmes, training guidelines and information about courses held internally in each SAI, for mutual enrichment. You will also find information about professional development programmes and training activities in European and international organisations.

The VI EUROSAI Congress (Bonn, Germany, 30 May - 2 June 2005) approved the Common Training Strategy of the Organisation, as well as the main lines of the operational plan to implement it. The strategic targets and the essential formulas of performance was settled down in order to promote training by means of the organisation of events and seminars, to promote professional exchanges among SAI and to facilitate the possibility of sharing information and documentation on the subject. The mandate of the EUROSAI Training Committee was renewed, entrusting it the execution, under the direction of the Governing Board, of the required actions to carry out the referred Strategy in the defined terms and to deepen in the search of organisational and financial mechanisms, and the right support to make it effective.

EUROSAI Training Strategy is based on providing its own training activities; in cooperation with other Institutions and Organisations with whom it shares initiatives and interests (EUROSAI Working groups, Regional Organisations of INTOSAI, IDI, SIGMA…); taking advantage of synergies derived from any training activity that it may affect its scope of performance; as well as in the support to the strengthening of the internal training strategies of each SAI and the mutual enrichment by means of the exchange of experiences, with total respect to the independence of each one of them to design them and to put them into practice. In this sense, cooperation is considered the key piece of the system to strengthen the quality and the intensity of the training policy.
